Accounts Payable Junior Analyst

Job Description

The role is based in San José, Costa Rica, within Roche Services and Solutions Operations Americas, one of Roches global Shared Services Centers. This center provides Finance and Procurement services across various countries in the Americas region. The Accounts Payable (AP) Junior Analyst will report to the AP Team Lead.

The AP Junior Analyst plays a crucial role in the center, with main responsibilities including reviewing, classifying, and scanning documents, entering data into SAP for further processing, delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, and actively contributing to process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management: Handle shared mailboxes, web portals, or platforms where all invoices are received.
• Document Classification: Sort documents into queues according to the Bill to Address.
• Scanning: Scan documents in the system for further processing.
• Invoice Processing: Support NPO-based and PO-based invoice processing needs.
• Customer Service: Respond promptly and accurately to inquiries from colleagues and vendors.
• Process Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for AP processes.
• Audit Support: Provide supporting documentation for audit reviews.

Qualifications:

• Language Skills: Intermediate level proficiency in English.
• Education: Technical degree in accounting or a related field. University or college studies in progress are a plus.
• Skills: Hands-on, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in office software packages, especially MS Excel.
• Experience: Prior experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, or Accounting is beneficial but not mandatory.
